How to Retrieve Device Logs from Edge Devices

Introduction

The Get Device Logs feature enables easy access to crucial information from your edge devices for monitoring and analysis. It allows you to efficiently retrieve and review essential logs.

  1. Click on your device to head over to the Device Details Page
  2. Click on the Get Device Logs tab under the Actions section, and click on Get Now to retrieve your device logs.


    If there are no device logs shown, you will need to head over to the Group Settings Page by clicking on "Edit Group Setting.
  3. Once you are on the Group Settings Page, go to the Device Log card and click the "+" button to add a new log setting. Then, set up the Log Package Name and Log Path, and optionally enable scheduling for regular device logs. Learn more on How to Set Up Device Log.
  4. After adding the log settings, return to the Device Details Page and click the Get Now button to retrieve your device logs. You can also click on the icon to download log files. The device logs will be available for download for 30 days.
