Retrieve a LINE notification token and to complete set up (EOL from April 1, 2025)

Introduction

Allxon has integrated instant messaging channels to keep operators notified quicker with alert messages on LINE.

Follow these steps to apply and retrieve LINE channel tokens. You will also learn how to set it up in your groups on the  Allxon Portal.

💡  Note: This feature does not support versions older than Allxon Agent 2.14.

Steps

Step 1. Sign into LINE Notify with your LINE account

Sign into LINE Notify using your LINE account. If you do not have a LINE account, follow the steps below to register a LINE account.

💡 Note:

Step 2. Enter “My Page” and generate access token

Enter your LINE Notify page to generate the access token.

  1. On the LINE Notify page, click on your name, then select “My page.”

  2. After entering your page, scroll down and click on the “Generate token” button.

Step 3. Select a group and retrieve token

This is an important step to determine which groups will be used to receive alert messages.

  1. Type in a token name that will be used for displaying notifications, then select the group you wish to have alert messages sent to.
    • Important: If you select a group to receive alert messages instead of selecting “1-on-1 with LINE Notify,” make sure you’ve added “LINE Notify” as a friend to the group first.

  1. After clicking on the “Generate token” button, you will receive an access token. Copy it and keep it confidential.

Step 4. Configure LINE settings using the LINE token on  Allxon Portal

After retrieving the LINE token, return to the  Allxon Portal to finish configuring LINE settings by enabling alert notifications.

  1. Enter the group you wish to use, then enter the “Alert Channel” page.
  2. Fill in the LINE token you retrieved in step 3, then click on “Send.”

  3. You will receive a verification message from the group that is linked to this token.  Fill in the 6 digit verification code on the Portal to finish verification.

  4. Click on “Save” after completion. You will now be able to enable alert notifications and to test them out.

Limitation

💡 Note: LINE Notify sets a limit on the amount of messages you can send out per hour.

  • LINE Notify: “There is a limit to the number of times an API can be called on each service. The default number is set to 1000. This limit is per access token.”
