Cloudflare Migration Plan

Overview

Due to recent changes in the third-party service Cloudflare, some Allxon Services functionalities have been affected. To ensure continuous and stable operation, please complete the required updates by March 31, 2025.

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for the Cloudflare migration plan to help restore Allxon services seamlessly. Failure to update by the deadline may result in service disruptions, impacting device management and remote operations.

The guide is divided into two sections: Allxon Agent Update Methods and OOB Update Methods. If you encounter any issues during the update process, please contact us for support.

Allxon Agent Update Methods

Step 1. Check your Allxon Agent version

If your Allxon Agent version is higher than v3.0.0 but lower than v3.15.1, please update to Allxon Release 3.15.1 to ensure continued access to Allxon Services.

Step 2. Update Allxon Agent

To update to the latest Allxon Agent, follow the official guide:

Out-Of-Band (OOB) Update Methods

Step 1. Check your OOB Firmware version

Verify your firmware version on the Allxon Portal. You may encounter the following scenarios:

  • If the firmware version is blank in the Allxon Portal, no action is needed.
  • If your version is lower than fw_1.00.2000 (e.g., fw_1.00.1000), please contact us for further assistance.
  • If your firmware version is between fw_1.00.2000 to fw_1.00.2007 but does not include "fixed" at the end, follow one of the methods below to update.

Step 2. Update your OOB Firmware

Please choose a method to update your OOB Firmware:

Method 1: Patch via OOB Configuration Web GUI

🔗Get the patch here

  1. Open a web browser and enter the device’s local IP address, and log in with default Username/Password: admin/oobadmin.

    * Note: The computer accessing the OOB module must be on the same network subnet.
  2. Find the Firmware Upgrade field and click on the Choose File button to upload the downloaded firmware patch for the update.

  3. The update will trigger a software reboot of the out-of-band module, and the connection will be restored automatically after it reboots. You can verify a successful update on the Portal under the firmware version of the target out-of-band module, which will have 'fixed' at the end of its version name.

Method 2: Patch via OOB OTA Update on Allxon Portal

🔗Get the patch here

  1. Contact us first to get access.
  2. Log in to Allxon Portal.
  3. Navigate to the Device List and select the target device to open the Device Profile Page.
  4. Click on the three dots menu in the upper-right corner to locate OOB OTA

  5. Upload the firmware patch for the update.
  6. The update will trigger a software reboot of the out-of-band module, and the connection will be restored automatically after it reboots. You can verify a successful update on the Portal under the firmware version of the target out-of-band module, which will have 'fixed' at the end of its version name.
