Cloudflare Migration Plan

Overview

Due to recent changes in the third-party service Cloudflare, some Allxon Services functionalities have been affected. To ensure continuous and stable operation, please complete the required updates by March 31, 2025.

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for the Cloudflare migration plan to help restore Allxon services seamlessly. Failure to update by the deadline may result in service disruptions, impacting device management and remote operations.

The guide is divided into two sections: Allxon Agent Update Guide and OOB Update Guide. If you encounter any issues during the update process, please contact us for support.

Allxon Agent Update Guide

Step 1. Check your Allxon Agent version

If your Allxon Agent version is higher than v3.0.0 but lower than v3.15.1, please update to Allxon Release 3.15.1 to ensure continued access to Allxon Services.

Step 2. Update Allxon Agent

To update to the latest Allxon Agent, follow the official guide:

Out-Of-Band (OOB) Update Guide

To ensure continuous access to Allxon services, please follow the steps below to check and update your OOB firmware.

Step 1. Check your OOB Firmware version

Verify your firmware version on the Allxon Portal. You may encounter the following scenarios:

  • If the firmware version is blank in the Allxon Portal, no action is needed.
  • If your version is lower than fw_1.00.2000 (e.g., fw_1.00.1000), please contact us for further assistance.
  • If your firmware version (in the format fw_1.XX.xxxx) ends with a number between 2000 and 2007 (inclusive) and does not include 'fixed' at the end, follow one of the methods below to update.

Step 2. Update your OOB Firmware

Choose one of the following methods based on your network environment:

Method 1: Patch via OOB Configuration Web GUI (Same Subnet)

Step 1. Confirm Your Network Setup

To access the OOB Enabler via Web GUI, your computer must be on the same subnet (e.g., IP address like 192.168.0.xxx).

Step 2. Access the Web GUI

Open a web browser and enter the device’s local IP address, then log in using the default credentials:

  • Username: admin
  • Password: oobadmin

Step 3. Upload the Firmware Patch

Find the Firmware Upgrade field and click on the Choose File button to upload the downloaded firmware patch for the update.

Step 4. Verify the Update

The system will reboot automatically after the update. Once the reboot is complete, check the firmware version on the Allxon Portal. It should include the word "fixed" at the end if the patch was successful.

Method 2: Patch via OOB OOB Configuration Web GUI (Different Subnet)

🔗Get the patch here

Step 1. Confirm Your Network Setup

Use this method when the host PC and the OOB Enabler are on different subnets. Connect the host PC directly to the OOB Enabler using an Ethernet cable.

Step 2. Environment Setup

  1. Use an Ethernet cable to directly connect the OOB Enabler to your PC.
  2. On the PC, configure a static IP with the following settings:
    • IP Address: 192.168.0.2
    • Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    • Gateway: 192.168.0.1

*Note: If your OOB Enabler was previously configured, unplug and restart the device to reset the IP to default.

Step 3. Access OOB Web GUI

  1. Open a browser and enter the OOB Enabler's default IP address: 192.168.0.100
  2. Log in with:
    • Username: admin
    • Password: oobadmin

Step 4. Upload the Firmware Patch

Find the Firmware Upgrade field and click on the Choose File button to upload the downloaded firmware patch for the update.

Step 5. Verify the Update in Web GUI

The system will reboot automatically after the update. Once the reboot is complete, log in to the Web GUI again and verify the firmware version.

  1. Log in to the Web GUI again.
  2. Navigate to the Firmware Version section.
  3. Confirm that the version includes the word "fixed" at the end.

Step 6. Reconnect to the Network

Connect the OOB Enabler to the internet.

Step 7. Verify the Update on the Allxon Portal

Once the OOB Enabler is online, check the firmware version again via the Allxon Portal. If the patch was successful, the version should include the word "fixed" at the end.

*Note: It may take 2–3 minutes for the updated firmware version to appear on the Portal. Please wait and refresh the page if needed.
